When and where is orientation being held? How long will orientation last? What should I wear to orientation? Will we be exercising during orientation?

    Orientation will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 6 p.m. in the Sunflower Room at the Friday Center. You will not be exercising during orientation and can wear whatever you desire. The orientation session will last for approximately an hour.

When and where will the weekly training sessions be held? What will we do during these sessions?

    Weekly training sessions will begin on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 5:45 p.m. in the North Atrium at the Friday Center. Training sessions will be held at the same time and place each week.

    Each training session will begin with warm-ups in the North Atrium after which the group will move to the track to walk or run.

How do I get to the Friday Center?

Do I need to download and complete the medical clearance form?

    If you are over age 40 or have known health problems, you need to complete the medical clearance form. Bring the completed form with you to orientation or fax it to Judy Swasey at 919-966-0393.     If you are age 40 or below and do not have any known health problems, you do not need to submit the medical release form.

What is the NC Triangle Komen Race for the Cure and when will it be held?

Is registration required?

    Yes, registration is required to attend the orientation session and the weekly training sessions that will follow. Click here to register.

Is space limited?

    Yes, space is limited to the first 120 women who register. Be sure to register as soon as possible as spaces fill up quickly. After that number is reached, a waiting list will be started and participants will be added on a first come, first served basis. If you are on the wait list and a space opens up, you will be contacted.
